Violin and Viola lessons
Rebecca Hall offers violin and viola lessons at her home teaching practice in Portishead, near Bristol. She is fully DBS checked and a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians. Rebecca offers tuition to all ages and abilities, age 6 to adult. Students are offered the opportunity to work towards exams or learn purely for enjoyment, and intermediate and advanced students are encouraged to audition for orchestras and perform in concerts and festivals. Beginners are given a solid grounding in general musicianship whilst establishing a good technique from the very beginning. For young children this is offered in an approachable and playful way, keeping the emphasis very much on fun.
Weekly lessons are recommended in order to ensure continuity and the best progress possible. Lessons for beginners and young children are usually 30 minutes, but they can be extended to 40 or 60 minutes for intermediate and advanced students. They are typically offered on a one to one basis, but young beginners wishing to start with a friend are offered the opportunity to learn in a group of two.
Consultation lessons are available and one off or irregular lessons can be delivered online using Zoom.
*Rebecca currently has availability for regular lessons on Mondays, both
during the day and evening. Please get in touch if you would like further
details.*
*During the Covid-19 pandemic lessons are being offered online as an
alternative to face to face.*
